- Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Profile information — your phone number and home address, used to coordinate pickups.
- Roster information — player names and parent contact details imported by a coach from their team roster.
- Ride data — events, ride requests, confirmations, and responses to ride check messages.
- SMS replies — when a parent replies YES or NO to a ride check, we record that response to update the coach dashboard.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send ride check SMS messages to parents on behalf of their team coach.
- Update coaches in real time when a parent responds.
- Notify co-parents and secondary contacts about ride confirmations.
- Send reminders before confirmed rides.
- Improve the Borgo app and fix issues.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.
3. SMS Messaging
Borgo sends SMS messages to phone numbers provided by team coaches as part of their roster. These messages are used solely to coordinate transportation for youth sports events. Parents may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Standard message and data rates may apply.
4. Who We Share Data With
We share data only with the services necessary to operate Borgo:
- Twilio — for sending and receiving SMS messages. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
- Supabase — for database and authentication services.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request.
6. Children's Privacy
Borgo is designed for use by parents and coaches of youth athletes. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Player information (names and ages) is provided by coaches and parents solely for the purpose of coordinating transportation.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and restricted access to personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

1. What Borgo Is
Borgo is a carpool coordination app for youth sports families. It helps coaches send ride check messages to parents and helps families coordinate transportation to games, practices, and events.
2. Who Can Use Borgo
Borgo is intended for:
- Parents and guardians of youth athletes
- Coaches and team administrators of youth sports teams
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using Borgo, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
3. Coach Responsibilities
If you use Borgo as a coach, you agree to:
- Only import roster information for players on your team whose families have a reasonable expectation of receiving team communications.
- Use SMS ride checks only for the purpose of coordinating transportation to team events.
- Not send spam, unsolicited messages, or messages unrelated to team transportation.
- Keep roster data secure and not share it outside of Borgo.
4. SMS Consent
By providing a phone number to a coach for inclusion in a team roster, parents and guardians consent to receiving SMS messages from Borgo related to ride coordination for their child's sports events. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Borgo to:
- Send harassing, threatening, or abusive messages to other users.
- Collect or misuse other users' personal information.
- Impersonate a coach, parent, or Borgo staff member.
- Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access.
- Use the platform for any purpose other than youth sports transportation coordination.
6. Rides and Safety
Borgo facilitates communication between families but does not provide transportation services. We are not responsible for the conduct of drivers or passengers. Users are responsible for their own safety and the safety of any children in their care during any ride arranged through Borgo.
We strongly encourage all users to:
- Verify the identity of drivers before allowing a child to ride with them.
- Ensure appropriate car seats or booster seats are used for children who require them.
- Use good judgment when accepting rides from other families.
7. Disclaimers
Borgo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that SMS messages will be delivered in all cases. We are not liable for any failed deliveries, missed rides, or damages arising from use of the app.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

10. Governing Law
